It is probably best if Otavio discusses the whole thing with relevant
people first, especially as he is the parted maintainer.
But filing the BR with the patch is probably a good idea anyway as a
reference for the devmapper maintainer, but IMO we'll need the OK from
the RT before we can push for an upload.
