I agree with you and this can be easily done, as cdebconf package provides debconf/button-yes and debconf/button-no templates. Does anyonne see any possible problem that could arise with the "yes/no" approach ?


Why not just:

This cold be easily implemented by not displaying the boolean question's description above it, like this

[ ] Question's description

Or, if you're going to use the button-* strings, why not use buttons:

White the changes to disks? [yes] [no]


This is a little less clean: the general approach in the GTK frontend is delegating to [back] and [forward] buttons only returning from frontend_go().
