Bug#280015: [i386] [20041105] reuse information in base-config

Package: installation-reports
Version: 20041105
Severity: wishlist

All in all, this installation was a great pleasure. You guys have
come a far way and it's really amazing. Other than the Grub/XFS
problem, which seems to have gotten worse in the last three months,
I only have two wishes: During the netinst installation, I select an
APT source and specify the hostname. Then, base-config asks me to do
the same again later. Maybe there's value in that, I found it
annoying. I would prefer if base-config just used the same APT
source and asked whether to include security support, and allow for
other APT sources to be added. Alternatively, it may prompt for an
APT source, but then should highlight the one used during
installation. Or even just prompt whether it should be reused, or
whether the selection dialog should be presented again. The same
applies to the hostname.

But as I said: great job!

Thanks,
