I'll remove ida.1 and plan to remove ida.0 as well, installing the
major device nodes manually using mknod.  I'd like to get some help
on which device files are the most important ones.

                                                  What is that?

Is there a directory to test this on master or auric?  I haven't set up
the entire test environmant locally yet...
