There is a configuration file on the root disk 8/etc/pump.conf) that sets
1 retry and a timeout of 10 seconds per retry so DHCP should not take
longer than 20 seconds. However, if pump recieves an answer from a DHCP
server within the timeout and it needs to send another request to this
server the timeout is ignored.

It could take a lot longer if there is a DHCP server (and you can't tell
how long it will take) - it only takes 20 seconds if there is no DHCP
server in the local network.
