any 2.6.x kernel for a DS10 with NCR 53C895 and QLogic ISP10x0 ?

Hi-

I have a DS10 with the following configuration:

   EV6 400Mhz
   1Gb RAM
Two scsi cards: a NCR 53C895 and QLogic ISP10x0
   No video display
Two DE500 100bt ethernet connections (tulip)

I just installed sarge on this box using the alpha rc1 netinst image. But I
had to use the 2.4.26-1-generic kernel because the 2.6.6-1-generic failed on
the reboot. Here is the tail of the serial console log from the failure:

    .
    .
    .
SCSI device sdf: 8380080 512-byte hdwr sectors (4291 MB)
SCSI device sdf: drive cache: write through
     /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target6/lun0: p1 p2 p3 p7 p8
Attached scsi disk sdf at scsi0, channel 0, id 6, lun 0
SCSI device sdg: 71132000 512-byte hdwr sectors (36420 MB)
SCSI device sdg: drive cache: write back

I *really* want a 2.6.x kernel to run on this machine, but I am concerned that
any version I try will fail similarly to the above.

Has any out there gotten a 2.6.x kernel to work on a similarly configured alpha?
If so, which kernel version and did you have to add any special flags to the config?

Thanks,
Toni
