Re: Headless install on LX164
Hello again,
Okay, so I tried taking the linux kernel off the rescue floppy and
replacing it with the Northern Linux one which came with the machine, so
it definitely has the serial console compiled in. Rebooted, and it
gives me:
VFS: Insert root floppy disk to be loaded into RAM Disk and press ENTER
<did that>
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 120k freed
Warning: unable to open an initial console.
EXT2-fs warning: checktime reached, running e2fsck is recommended
Why can't it open an initial console? It has no problem doing so when
booting from the same kernel on the hard drive. Any ideas? Has anyone
installed Debian on headless LX164?
