This is NOT from cdrecord.

You cannot compare the behavior of cdrecord with a different command.
Plase use cdrecord in _both_ cases and report again.

Yes it is. It is the output of the exact same command:

cdrecord driveropts=help -checkdrive dev=ATA:1,0,0
