MouseMotion method broken for vcanvas with motif

if implement the virtual function vCanvasPane::MouseMotion in my derived 
canvas class it does not get called.

Implementations of MouseDown, MouseUp, and MouseMove all work fine.

I would like to track mouse motion with no buttons pressed ( some of the 
time ).

I am using Motif.
