Dear Maintainer,
thanks heaps for the review. I was surprised by the promptness since they
mentioned waits of weeks in the documentation, and that makes me even more
grateful.
I have taken action for the points noted, namely I have:
- Updated the Standards-Version to 4.7.0
- Fixed the distribution in `changelog` from `UNRELEASED` to `unstable`
- Asked upstream to make releases, so I could fix the `watch` problems from
the lack of those. But they released with release number 1.013 and thus I
have updated my files, request and upload to reflect that. I hope it is not
a big issue since the package isn't released yet.
Because as stated above I have needed to change the version, you can download
the package with 'dget' using this command:
dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/saf/saf_1.013-1.dsc
With that, I believe I have fixed the problems.
I still get some pedantic and experimental remarks from lintian, but I am not
sure how to deal with them, or if they necessarily need to be removed:
- `debian-watch-does-not-check-openpgp-signature` : upstream is not using
opengpg or signing the release.
- `prefer-uscan-symlink` : I guess I should agree with someone to implement
the lintian-proposed change? Although I believe it can stay as it is.
- `source-contains-prebuilt-binary` and `very-long-line-length-in-source-file`:
I wouldn't ask upstream to change their contents, and the long line is
because it is a binary (which doesn't get installed by my tentative package).
Please would you let me know if I can do anything else to ease the sponsoring
of the package.
Thanks again.
