I submitted the email to close the bug, as you suggested.

There are no other relevant bugs to address with this package currently. I'm fairly new to Debian and am looking to get more involved in the community. I know one of the suggested ways to do this is to adopt orphaned packages. vcdimager is a dependency of software
that I use so I thought adopting it and ensuring it has a maintainer would be good for Debian.
