Hi ! I'm pretty much new to the mailing lists but I've used Debian for the last 15 years or so. I've ported many packages from Ubuntu to Debian or from Kali to Debian for myself. And I've backported some package from bullseye to buster for my personal use. I'm currently rebuilding Kodi from deb-mutlimedia so I can integrate it on my system (I dislike those -dmo in the name so I recompile them). Also I prefer to make my own choices for build options in some case. I'd be interested in investing time for Filezilla. I didn't use this software much on Linux but I used to when I was under Windows at work. I'll take a look at the Debian docs regarding the packages and the whole ecosystem that goes with it. I've remember something about adopting a orphaned package as a good way to start into Debian development (I think it was in the Debian developer guide). It's pretty late here as I'm in North America so I'll continue this tomorrow.
