Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for a non-maintainer upload for the 'xylib'
package.

The package currently suffers from RC bug #975672; in the bug
discussion, the current package maintainer has pointed out that the
latest upstream release solves the bug, and that he is no longer able
to maintain the Debian package (the last upload was five years ago).

I have thus taken the liberty to package this new upstream release and
perform some maintenance work which may exceed what is considered
customary for a normal NMU but is arguably non-controversial and
reversible (e.g., updating debian/copyright and changing it to the
machine-readable format).

I have also added the current package maintainer in X-Debbugs-CC so
that he can voice any objections he may have regarding this NMU.
