Hi!
Have you followed the NMU procedure?  It includes posting the debdiff to at
least one of bugs that are the cause of the NMU; the primary reason is to
make it easy for the maintainer to apply your changes to a VCS.

Also, there's now a syntax error in debian/copyright: the Boost-1.0 section
has two "License:" fields.  It looks like the second one is meant to be a
continuation of the first, thus removing the second header would be enough.

fontconfig is known-broken, and piuparts had problems on its own recently.
