Package: sponsorship-requests

Severity: normal

Submitter: Robert James Clay <jame@rocasa.us>

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "sql-ledger":

 * Package name    : sql-ledger

   Version         : 3.2.6-1

   Upstream Author : Dieter Simader <dsimader@sql-ledger.org>

 * URL             : https://www.sql-ledger.com

 * License         : GPL-2+

   Section         : web

It builds this binary packages:

    sql-ledger - Web based double-entry accounting program

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/sql-ledger

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

    dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/sql-ledger/sql-ledger_3.2.6-1.dsc

More information about sql-ledger itself can be obtained from https://www.sql-ledger.com,

Changes since the last upload:

  * New upstream. (Closes: #862953)(LP: #1537461)

  * Bump the Debhelper version from '9' to '10'.

  * Use an HTTPS URL in the debian/watch file.

  * Add the following Lintian override files: debian/source/lintian-overrides and debian/sql-ledger.lintian-overrides.

  * Removed the debian/patches/latex-cmdline-option patch file as it does not apply to the new upstream.

  * Add a debian/patches/FixINCissue.patch file. (Closes: #869994)

  * Add a debian/patches/MitigateLintianError.patch file.

  * Redo 'templates' install info in the debian/sql-ledger.install file.

  * Rewrite debian/copyright, following copyright-format v1.0 guidelines.

  * Changes in debian/control:

    + Declare compliance with Debian Policy 4.1.4.

    + Add 'Rules-Requires-Root: binary-targets' to the source stanza.

    + Set 'Robert James Clay <jame@rocasa.us>' as the new Maintainer.

      (Closes: #862963)

    + Update Vcs-Git & Vcs-Browser entries to the new URLs at salsa.debian.org.

Also, I request that sql-ledger be added to the rest of my packages that I can upload as a Debian Maintainer, under my email address 'jame@rocasa.us'.

  Regards,

   Robert James Clay

Great to see this package fixed.

I cloned the git repo from salsa, fixed typos in debian/NEWS (commit
pushed), reviewed the package and uploaded it. I also tagged the
release and pushed the tag.

Some ideas for the future:
* sql-ledger.postinst: could probably be rewritten with
  dpkg-maintscript-helper(1)
* Standards-Version: 4.1.5 sice a couple of hours :)
* override_dh_auto_clean in d/rules: can probably be replaced with a
  debian/clean file
* d/control: short description should start with a small letter
* d/README.source can probably be removed

Will do.

Cheers,
