I admit I'm confused by the patches, and thus can't claim to have reviewed the changes adequately -- especially that I don't know enough about input methods. Ie, the review is even worse than I usually do for this stack. But then, history has shown that no one picks these packages for upload, thus a very inadequate but timely review is better than no upload at all, and as this set of interdepending packages is big, you want to minimize delays between parts.
