Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "tikzit"

* Package name    : tikzit
  Version         : 1.0-1
  Upstream Author : Aleks Kissinger <aleks0@gmail.com>
* URL             : http://tikzit.sourceforge.net/
* License         : Mostly GPL-3+, some LGPL-2+
  Section         : tex

It builds these binary packages:

  tikzit - Graphical tool for creating node-and-edge style graphs

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/tikzit

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this
command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/t/tikzit/tikzit_1.0-1.dsc

The current version of the package is based on the "v1.0" tag in
upstream's git repository. There are four patches on top of this,
corresponding to later upstream commits, that fix a bison parser
declaration error.

The orig tarball does not match the tarball released by upstream. It
is a repack of the git tree with some website-related files removed. I
realize therefore that the version should be something like
1.0+dfsg.1-1.

I am aware that the package lacks a watch file. I need advice as to
how this is best done when upstream releases both as tarball and as
tagged git commits, with slight differences.

Regards,
 Gard Spreemann
