Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

 I am looking for a sponsor for my package "qspeakers"

 * Package name    : qspeakers
   Version         : 1.0-1
   Upstream Author : Benoît Rouits
 * URL             : http://brouits.free.fr/qspeakers/
 * License         : GPL-3+
   Section         : misc

  It builds those binary packages:

    qspeakers  - loudspeaker design software

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/qspeakers

  Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/q/qspeakers/qspeakers_1.0-1.dsc

More information: This package closes #842087 (wnpp).

 QSpeakers is a simple graphical program that
 simulates common acoustical enclosures behaviour
 to help designing loudspeaker systems, based on
 the loudspeaker driver's Thiele / Small parameters
 and the chosen enclosure type.
 .
 This software is mostly useful for do-it-yourself
 loudspeaker enthusiasts, acoustics teaching, and
 to a lesser extent, for loudspeaker engineering.

I am also the upstream author of this program. There is no similar software in Debian, yet. But there are similar software on other operating systems (think of WinISD). This software depends on Qt5 (widgets) and Qwt6 (frequency response plot).

I got a positive return from debian-science mailing-list on the idea of packaging that software for Debian. I hope the package is well done.
Thank you for your review and possible sponsorship !

Regards,
Benoît

Package qspeakers version 1.0-1 is in NEW now,
and the package at mentors is not newer (2016-10-25) than the package in NEW (2016-10-25),
so there is currently no package to sponsor.

https://ftp-master.debian.org/new/qspeakers_1.0-1.html
https://mentors.debian.net/package/qspeakers

Please remove the package from mentors or mark it "needs sponsor = no".
If for some reason you need to replace the package in NEW,
then you can upload an updated package to mentors
and feel free to reopen this RFS 842095 or open a new RFS.
