Thanks for your offer to collaborate on maintaining Backbone packaging for Debian, but I choose to decline: I do not find your style of colaboration beneficial to the package, as it evidently involves doing radical structural changes to packaging without prior coordination with peer package maintainers, some of it arguably weakening the quality of the package.
