Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "skiboot"

 Package name : skiboot
 Version : 5.2.2-1
 Upstream Author : skiboot team
 URL : http://github.com/open-power/skiboot/
 License : Apache-2.0, CC0, BSD-2-Clause
 Section : admin

It builds those binary packages:

opal-prd - OPAL Processor Recovery Diagnostics daemon
  opal-utils - OPAL firmware utilities

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

https://mentors.debian.net/package/skiboot

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/skiboot/skiboot_5.2.2-1.dsc

More information about hello can be obtained from https://www.example.com.

Note:
  This is for Power architectures.
I initially packaged this for Ubuntu Trusty. I pulled it from Ubuntu did a few
changes, updated it with new upstream and here it is. It would need to be synced with Ubuntu.

Regards,
 Frederic Bonnard

Hi,

sponsored!

on this one,
d/rules is a bit hacky, but this is due to the firmware nature of skiboot
I guess : we don't want to compile the firmware, just the userland utilities.
There could be some improvements of course for people not flashing the cards
and compiling the whole suite with a simple make and more specialised targets.

check-all-the-things :
- added a patch for the bunch of typos. Will send this upstream
- for ccpcheck foundings, we actually compile just a part of the tree which has
one cppcheck founding. Though there should be some reporting to be done for
all the rest of the source tree.
- I fixed d/copyright that was missing ccan/list/*

Lintians :
- added Documentation key in .service file
- fixed hardened build with a patch
- removed 1 patch not necessary
- one typo, integrated in patch above written after check-all-the-things

3 remaining :
P: skiboot source: debian-watch-may-check-gpg-signature
P: opal-prd: no-upstream-changelog
P: opal-utils: no-upstream-changelog
