Bug#808249: RFS: libirman/0.5.1-1 [NMU]

control: owner -1 !

Hi again Alec

I see an Ubuntu patch
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libirman/+bug/342347

so I closed in the changelog.

I did some package refactoring.

e.g.

1) wrap-and-sort
2) merge the last two changelogs together (the previous version never hit debian)
3) remove debian/*.dirs files
4) remove debian/*.postinst debian/*.postrm --> they were empty, and created automagically by debhelper
(you can see the built .deb files)

5) added yourself to uploaders and restored the maintainership to pkg-lirc

6) removed patches for removing autogenerated stuff (autoreconf already does this)
7) removed patches not used.

fixed something on rules files
http://debomatic-amd64.debian.net/distribution#unstable/libirman/0.5.1-1/lintian

I leave to you looking at my work, test the package and fix the last few lintian warnings.

let me know how do you feel with this one (attached)

question:

you seem to install binaries and /etc in the -dev package.

Is this an error? I ask because the -dev is usually used to build and link with the library, not for the end users

maybe the binaries should be shipped in a separate package?

cheers,

Gianfranco
