Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear mentors,

  I am looking for a sponsor for package "libsvm" for an NMU.
  (libsvm is in archive section main)

  This package has not been updated for very long time, and
  I'd like to update it. The curretly recorded maintainer
  didn't reply my email which was sent a month ago.

  Please note that, this package just passed the Debomatic build.
  http://debomatic-amd64.debian.net/distribution#unstable/libsvm/3.20-1/buildlog

 * Package name    : libsvm
   Version         : 3.20-1
   Upstream Author : Chih-Chung Chang and Chih-Jen Lin <cjlin@csie.ntu.edu.tw>
 * URL             : http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~cjlin/libsvm/
 * License         : http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~cjlin/libsvm/COPYRIGHT
   Section         : devel

  It builds those binary packages:

 libsvm-dev - LIBSVM header files
 libsvm-java - Java API to support vector machine library (libsvm.jar)
 libsvm-tools - LIBSVM binary tools
 libsvm3 - library implementing support vector machines
 libsvm3-java - Java API to support vector machine library (libsvm3.jar)
 python-libsvm - Python interface for support vector machine library

  To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/libsvm

  Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

    dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/libs/libsvm/libsvm_3.20-1.dsc

  Changes since the last upload:

libsvm (3.20-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * Import new upstream version.
  * d/control:
    + Bump standards version to 3.9.6.
    + Remove obsolete DM-Upload-Allowed field.
    + Add Vcs-Browser field.
    + Remove duplicated Homepage description. (Closes: #693889)
  * Add watch file.
  * d/rules: Bump version as new version is imported.
  * Update "d/*.install".

Regards,
   lumin

Hi,

Actually I don't know how it is going.

However IMHO you we can close this RFS, and wait for the maintainer
to update this package someday...

Thanks.
