Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

I'm looking for new sponsorship for cfengine3, a package which I believe to be orphaned. I've reached out to Antonio Radici (the currently listed maintainer) several times and only had a little contact with him over a year ago. I've been working with a small on an update. The last contact we had with Antonio, he had agreed to sponsor us and transfer maintainership of the package to our team. We signed up for accounts on Alioth and never heard from Antonio again. I have already contacted MIA.

We have a viable package for cfengine3-3.6.2, we're ready to do 100% of whatever work required, and we're desperately hoping to get our package uploaded in time for the Jessie freeze.

The working repository for an update to 3.6.2 is at https://github.com/webhuis/Cfengine-debian

Version 3.6.2 is already in Debian. The package in Debian got updated after the
newest comment on the RFS. The package for which sponsoring is requested is
still 3.6.2 while the newest upstream release is 3.6.5. I'm assuming this is an
outdated RFS, closing.
