No problems too. This is common.

Perhaps you can be interested in 'updates'. See here:
https://wiki.debian.org/StableUpdates.
But I think that your package can be kept in a conventional stable
version. There is Debian-Backports[1] too. I use it.
Your package is good for me now. Can I upload it?
