Please take a closer look at the above URL. There are a lot of lintian
warnings that should be fixed, and since this isn't actually a NMU
(you're adopting the package), nothing's stopping you from doing so.

Would you consider maintaining this package within the Debian Python
Modules Team? It'd be easier for you to find others to review and
sponsor this package.
