Bug#725619: RFS: webalizer/2.23.08-1 [RC]

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: important

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "webalizer"

 * Package name    : webalizer
   Version         : 2.23.08-1
   Upstream Author : Bradford L. Barrett <brad@mrunix.net>
 * URL             : http://www.webalizer.org/
 * License         : GPL-2+
   Section         : web

It builds those binary packages:

    webalizer - web server log analysis program

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/webalizer

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

    dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/w/webalizer/webalizer_2.23.08-1.dsc

Also, the package in maintained in git on collab-maint:
    git://git.debian.org/collab-maint/webalizer.git

Changes since the last upload:

  * New upstream release.
  * Change Build-Depends from libpng12-dev to libpng-dev. Closes: #662546
  * Updated Policy to 3.9.3 while fixing d/copyright Format URL.
  * Change Build-Depends to libgd2-dev without xpm/noxpm. Closes: #714879
  * Use conf sample in /etc not in /u/s/doc to generate config. Closes: #710784
  * Match space and tab while editing conf. Closes: #445410, #430658

This is basically fixing the 2 RC bugs on webalizer that make it a candidate
for removal :( but expect other requests from me soon!

As a last note: the package is using the "UNRELEASED" distribution to ease
tracking it's state in git I know it should be "unstable" for a real upload :)

Best Regards,

   Julien VdG
