I have answered the questions related to the use case and how it is different from puppet and other configuration engines. To just distribute some list of public SSH keys to a list of machines even behind firewalls distkeys is the easiest tool I found up to now. It can do a bit more, but that is it basic task.

I also addressed the concern that Ruby 1.8 is to be removed and made the script work with Ruby 1.9.

I certainly intend to maintain this, as we are using it ourselves. There are even plans to extend it to distribute keys to non OpenSSH machines that can talk SSH.

Would somebody be willing to at least review the package?

What else can I do to help the process?

Thanks,
