Hi, Has it been considered to add compression to NBD? E.g. for slow connections. The command-structure of nbd_cmd_write could get a flag that indicates that the data is compressed. The length field would then be of course the compressed size. During session setup a compression-scheme could be negotiated. I would suggest LZO or comparable. regards
