OK, I'm sorry to say this, but... I just downloaded 2.9.3 from
SourceForge and the same thing happens:
muttley ~ # nbd-client -v
nbd-client version 2.9.3
Usage: nbd-client [bs=blocksize] host port nbd_device [-swap] [-persist]
Or : nbd-client -d nbd_device
Default value for blocksize is 1024 (recommended for ethernet)
Allowed values for blocksize are 512,1024,2048,4096
Note, that kernel 2.4.2 and older ones do not work correctly with
blocksizes other than 1024 without patches
muttley ~ # nbd-client 10.0.0.2 555 /dev/nbd0
Negotiation: ..size = 10485760KB
bs=1024, sz=10485760
muttley ~ # Kernel call returned: Broken pipeClosing: que, sock, done
Also the --disable-glibtest switch still doesn't do anything...
:(

I therefore reverted r231, and released 2.9.3. That should fix this.
