Re: why does using su cause the tests to fail



Because it is not the same as logging in. Some of the standard
POSIX tests determine using the relevant calls who has logged in.
Often it is better to telnet to the localhost rather than su,
but this may not work for you in your chroot, in which case
you need to find a better way to log the test user in with the
controlling terminal (in some of the other chroot'd envs Chris
had a sshd running to login to).
