Actually the problem isn't resolved yet. Branden Doa just
posted it (along with the related redhat bug report I pointed
out) on perl5-porters...

As to the flames, well it always seems when there is a kernel of truth
to the argument it always sets them off.
At this point I don't care. We have a way to build a texinfo
install-info which is good enough to get glibc packages built for
local testing (although not compatible enough to actually allow
glibc-docs to install). But hey, why talk about compatibility in
a place like this, eh?
