Re: please use robots.txt for your gopher apps

Confused here , at least towards the end of your post, Bradley.
To clarify to the best of my knowledge , Cameron was THE pioneer of the use of robots.txt in gopherspace in gopher's most advanced, usable search engine that has no peer and continues to curate his creation  to this day.
As long as I am correct in what I say above ,Do you mean to commence to dictate terms ?
I apologise in advance if I have incorrectly understood all this.
Have a peaceful evening.

Hey Cameron,

This particular topic isn't in any way strictly related to gopher
protocol. Whereas, it is a Veronica topic, and as such I think it
prudent for you to consider asking for an 'opt-in' for the inclusion of
future systems in V2 - that opt-in being in the form of, at a minimum,
specifying that something analogous to a robots.txt, yet of your own
invented nomenclature and specifications, separate and distinct from
'robots.txt'
