I don't use Thunderbird very much, so I don't really have a lot to add,
I'm afraid.

I'm working on a shim OverbiteWX now that we had some progress on protocol
handlers. It just forwards to Floodgap for now, but once more APIs come on
board, it can be made more configurable. Eventually the goal is to use
the TCP APIs, if/whenever those get done, but it still won't be as seamless
as OverbiteFF. :(
