There is a complimentary WAIS Server for Windows users (who run GopherS).  It can be found on JumpJet on the selector:

They tout full text search as a key feature of Gopher, which I 
didn't realize was such an integral part of Gopher.

A Veronica-2 search on "full text search" produces a number of 
type 7 search server selectors, but none of them are on 
operational hosts. Does anyone have a search server or WAIS still
