[gopher] optimised V-2 search

I played with some optimisation settings for waisq and got a qualitiatively
better search speed out of it. See if you don't agree:

	gopher://gopher.floodgap.com/1/v2

Of course, this might only work well on RS/6000 (PowerPC).
