on second thoughts, playing here with the colouring for a different
program, having yellow+bold for warnings and yellow without bold for
notices might not be the best idea; depending upon colour scheme and
options, boldness might actually not actually have any effect, thus
rendering warnings and noticed being coloured the same, detracting from
the point of highlighting them in the first place.

i'd keep red+bold for errors and yellow+bold for warnings, but perhaps
reconsider the choice for notices. perhaps blue/cyan/light-magenta
might be more sensible. i'd like to see dpkg reconsider this also.

though ideally we'd want to stick as closely as possible with common
choices. if different programs are selecting different colours then it
can become a complete mess, especially when multiple programs are run
by a script like live-build...
