I note you did not need any more information nor required it to take
action: I therefore conclude the bug title was more than sufficient to
grasp the problem at hand.
The only mistake (if you consider it as such) here was to have forgetten
to remove that part from the template...

I would be more than happy to get back on the boat, Day 1 of the era in
which you will stop forcing dependencies against an octopus which
happens to also serve as Debian init system.
A bug has been filled against Devuan bug system.
