Since today apt fails to build from source in unstable on amd64. The
typical failure looks like:

It seems very likely that this FTBFS is a result of the po4a 0.50-1
upload, at least the timing matches precisely. Uploader Cced. I didn't
look any further, please reassign as appropriate.
