Hi.
In addition to what has been requested in #405927 it would be nice,
if apt-file could (optionally) just "ping" the repository, and see whether
more recent Contents files would be available.
And if so, print a warning or optionally make an update.
Cheers,
Chris.

Hi,
With apt-file 3, apt-file no longer has any logic for dealing with
remote endpoints. Therefore I am "wontfix"ing this bug as everything
dealing with remote endpoints is now outsourced to APT.
Thanks,
~Niels
