That is the idea of getting non-Debian repostories to behave humble.

Currently is an extra repository a trojan horse that is inside the city wall.

Nicelookingproject might be very tempted to push / enforce their modified
packages to get "foo" working without putting effort in the rest
of the eco-system they are using.
