Hi all,

I have perhaps the same idea as the gentleman has proposed with
probably a slight twist. Those of us who are on mobile Internet (as
well as otherwise) do get into situations where while updating the
sources, you have to update the sources number of times in order for
apt to be satisfied and to get current listing. If such checks are
there, the user might not download wrong/incorrect sources and also
might also have some difference in mirror bandwidth (better for mirror
hosting providers).
