I had already reported it as 787724 and that time it was told it was a
temporary mirror issue, but now this issue has been persisting for
about almost a week.

I also tried the option which was shared at that bug and this is the

This is a network problem as apt is apparantly not talking to the real
httpredir service as that should answer with something similar to:

Note espcially the 302 status and the Location header which together
indicates that the file can be found at another place (the given
Location), which apt will subsequently ask for the file instead (the
Location will be different for you of course, as httpredir promises to
pick the 'best' mirrors for you).

My bet would be a misbehaving proxy either on your local machine, your
local network, at your internet service provider or anywhere in between.

As there is nothing we can do about it, I have to close as "not a bug".
