Version: 0.5.5.1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I have multiple servers definition in /etc/sources. When download from one
fail (missing file) then sometimes (dependiences???) many packages are
downloaded twice (successfully!!!).

For me it isn't a problem but for users that have lower bandwidth ...
:(

Looks for me a lot like interrupted connections which apt reconnects and
continues automatically, but printing a new line about it; especially as
this report is 12 years old and somewhere in this timeframe someone
would have noticed if apt would really download packages needlessly
multiple times.

I am therefore closing this bugreport as fixed in the meantime, but if
by some mircacle you can still reproduce this feel free to reopen!

Best regards
