-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Package: apt Version: 0.7.21 Severity: normal Hi, I have a local debian mirror updated every night with debmirror. The mirror works well locally or mounted via NFS on a etch system. (File server is lenny but the bug was also happen when it was still etch.) But when I mount the nfs share on my lenny box apt-get hangs when I add the mirrored deb source: > apt-get update Erstelle alte Liste von Paketen... When I comment out the nfs mirrored apt-source everything works well. I hit the problem when using the lenny version of apt or the sid version (I have installed at the moment). Needless to say that I export the NFS read only. - -- Package-specific info: - -- apt-config dump -- APT ""; APT::Architecture "i386"; APT::Build-Essential ""; APT::Build-Essential:: "build-essential"; APT::Install-Recommends "false"; APT::Install-Suggests "0"; APT::Acquire ""; APT::Acquire::Translation "environment"; APT::Acquire::Description "de"; APT::NeverAutoRemove ""; APT::NeverAutoRemove:: "^linux-image.*"; APT::NeverAutoRemove:: "^linux-restricted-modules.*"; APT::Update ""; APT::Update::Pre-Invoke ""; APT::Update::Pre-Invoke:: "/usr/bin/daptup --pre"; APT::Update::Post-Invoke ""; APT::Update::Post-Invoke:: "/usr/bin/daptup --post"; APT::Get ""; APT::Get::Show-Upgraded "true"; APT::Get::Show-Versions "true"; APT::Get::Purge "true"; APT::Cache-Limit "50331648"; Dir "/"; Dir::State "var/lib/apt/"; Dir::State::lists "lists/"; Dir::State::cdroms "cdroms.list"; Dir::State::userstatus "status.user"; Dir::State::status "/var/lib/dpkg/status"; Dir::Cache "var/cache/apt/"; Dir::Cache::archives "archives/"; Dir::Cache::srcpkgcache "srcpkgcache.bin"; Dir::Cache::pkgcache "pkgcache.bin"; Dir::Etc "etc/apt/"; Dir::Etc::sourcelist "sources.list"; Dir::Etc::sourceparts "sources.list.d"; Dir::Etc::vendorlist "vendors.list"; Dir::Etc::vendorparts "vendors.list.d"; Dir::Etc::main "apt.conf"; Dir::Etc::parts "apt.conf.d"; Dir::Etc::preferences "preferences"; Dir::Bin ""; Dir::Bin::methods "/usr/lib/apt/methods"; Dir::Bin::dpkg "/usr/bin/dpkg"; Dir::Log "var/log/apt"; Dir::Log::Terminal "term.log"; DPkg ""; DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs ""; DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs:: "if [ -x /usr/bin/etckeeper ]; then etckeeper pre-install; fi"; DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs:: "/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs apt || exit 10"; DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs:: "/usr/bin/apt-listchanges --apt || test $? -ne 10"; DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs:: "/usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure --apt || true"; DPkg::Post-Invoke ""; DPkg::Post-Invoke:: "if [ -x /usr/bin/etckeeper ]; then etckeeper post-install; fi"; DPkg::Post-Invoke:: "if [ -x /usr/bin/debsums ]; then /usr/bin/debsums --generate=nocheck -sp /var/cache/apt/archives; fi"; DPkg::Post-Invoke:: "if [ -x /usr/bin/rkhunter ] && ( ! grep -q -E '^DISABLE_TESTS=.*(hashes.*attributes|attributes.*hashes|properties)' /etc/rkhunter.conf || grep -q -E '^ENABLE_TESTS=.*(hashes|attributes|properties)' /etc/rkhunter.conf); then /usr/bin/rkhunter --propupd; fi"; DPkg::Post-Invoke:: "if [ -x /usr/sbin/localepurge ] && [ $(ps w -p $PPID | grep -c remove) != 1 ]; then /usr/sbin/localepurge; else exit 0; fi"; DPkg::Tools ""; DPkg::Tools::Options ""; DPkg::Tools::Options::/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs ""; DPkg::Tools::Options::/usr/sbin/apt-listbugs::Version "2"; DPkg::Tools::Options::/usr/bin/apt-listchanges ""; DPkg::Tools::Options::/usr/bin/apt-listchanges::Version "2"; RPM ""; RPM::Pre-Install-Pkgs ""; RPM::Pre-Install-Pkgs:: "if [ -x /usr/bin/etckeeper ]; then etckeeper pre-install; fi"; RPM::Post-Invoke ""; RPM::Post-Invoke:: "if [ -x /usr/bin/etckeeper ]; then etckeeper post-install; fi"; - -- /etc/apt/preferences -- Package: * Pin: release o=Mowgli Pin-Priority: 995 Package: * Pin: release o=Jones Pin-Priority: 99 Package: * Pin: origin www.srce.hr Pin-Priority: 99 Package: * Pin: release a=unstable Pin-Priority: 700 Package: * Pin: release a=stable Pin-Priority: 600 Package: blender Pin: release a=unstable Pin-Priority: 800 Package: blender-ogrexml Pin: release a=unstable Pin-Priority: 800 - -- (no /etc/apt/sources.list present) -- - -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (700, 'unstable'), (600, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28.5 Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages apt depends on: ii debian-archive-keyring 2009.01.31 GnuPG archive keys of the Debian a ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1.1 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 apt recommends no packages. Needless to say that I export the NFS > read only. I had an NFS source a while back and that worked. Also, there were no other reports about this… could also be our current famous ReadMessages bug which is fixed now in 1.1… Either way, I guess it is more likely that this was fixed at some point than it is that keeping this report open is helping as is if it would be still open. So I am going to close it, but if you can still reproduce it please reopen it! Best regards David KalnischkiesAttachment: signature.asc
