Subject: apt: display full url and path, not only url
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.28.6
Severity: normal

using apt-proxy makes error tracking difficult, as apt-get update only displays the url, but omits
the path afterwards. especially difficult to spot is, if security or stable uprade is failing:

Hit http://aptproxy stable/main Packages
Hit http://aptproxy stable/main Release
Hit http://aptproxy stable/non-free Packages
Hit http://aptproxy stable/non-free Release

it would be great, if it could look more like, it has the info in sources.list. a possibility
could be:

deb http://aptproxy/security/stable/updates
  hit main: Packages
  hit main: Release
  hit contrib: Packages
  hit contrib: Release
  hit non-free: Packages
  hit non-free: Release

deb http://aptproxy/debian stable/main Packages
  hit ...

Nowdays the path is shown like it is present in the sources.list,
as an example:
Hit http://deb-mirror.de/debian stable InRelease
for
deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ stable main

(the difference in domain comes from httpredir being a redirector and
apt 1.1 will show the mirror it was redirected to rather than the
redirector URI)

So this is solved nowadays and hence I am closing.
