[apt] Fails to upgrade form Wheezy to jessie with apt+dpkg first
Hi,
Jenkins just spotted a potential upgrade failure[1], where the apt from
Wheezy fails to upgrade apt and dpkg alone (before anything else). The
summary is basically:
"""
$ apt-get -y install dpkg apt
[... tons of debug output ...]
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libglib2.0-0 : Breaks: glib-networking (< 2.33.12) but 2.32.3-1 is to
be installed
ppp : Breaks: network-manager (< 0.9.8.8-7~) but 0.9.4.0-10 is to be
installed
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be
caused by held packages.
"""
If there is something we can do to help apt (e.g. adding breaks in some
package), please do let us know, so we can file bugs for it.
Thanks,
~Niels
