Bug#626599: Still not fixed

"very old" :D (reminds me of my work as young group leader^Wadviser,
where the kids said to the new-adults 'old' and I got 'promoted' to very
old as twenty-something – now I am already "very very old" and wonder
what I will be if I reach the third life-decade in a couple years…)

In apt terms, if it isn't a decade old, it isn't old, just well aged ;)
Or maybe just not bloody new anymore… (not because we like them to age
in the BTS, but because the "team" can only do so much… :/ )

Noone is actively working on that at the moment and given that I might
be your best bet on continuing the work, I would say I doubt it for
jessie – If additional workforce isn't appearing out of thin air of
course.

Most if not all of the problems I mentioned in my first message still
stand. The progress jumping can be observed now in 'apt' at least. ;)
The hooks like apt-listbugs/changes are still relying on 'Conf' messages
which we would need to generate for them (and they can't be switched to
dpkg hooks as it is in their usecase to run before dpkg – and maybe
prevent it from being called) and and and ………

None of it is rocket science, but needs someone to actually sit down and
do the work; in other words: it will happen asap, but the 'p' might take
some months to happen…

Best regards
