Package: apt Version: 1.0.3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? Upgrade of apt * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? apt-get dist-upgrade * What was the outcome of this action? Only the first 80 columns of the screen where used * What outcome did you expect instead? As previously, all columns (> 200 on this screen) would be used. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** Until recently, apt-get was using the entire screen width. In this case, I'm logging in on the console via ssh to this machine. Now only about 80 columns are used, wasting the screen width. I did not see any change in debian/changelog (with apt-listchanges) nor did I find an option in apt-get(1) about screen width. It would be great if apt-get could be restored to use the entire screen width again (like it did until I upgraded apt just now). -- Dr. Helge Kreutzmann debian@helgefjell.de Dipl.-Phys. http://www.helgefjell.de/debian.php 64bit GNU powered gpg signed mail preferred Help keep free software "libre": http://www.ffii.de/Attachment: signature.asc

Was a silly oversight and should be gone now after the current upload hits the archive: apt (1.0.3) unstable; urgency=medium […] [ Sebastian Schmidt ] * fix screen width detection for apt/apt-get lists (Closes: 748430, 747942) […] -- Michael Vogt <mvo@debian.org> Tue, 10 Jun 2014 14:55:05 +0200 Best regards David KalnischkiesAttachment: signature.asc
