Hello,

If the package has both a Build-Depends: and a Build-Depends-Indep:
apt-get build-deps should allows to download only the packages in the
Build-Depends: line. This is useful if we only want to build the
packages arch:any  with 'dpkg-buildpackages -B'.

Cheers,

Hello,

I have just stumbled over this report, this was fixed in 0.5.5:

apt (0.5.5) unstable; urgency=low
[...]
  * "apt-get --arch-only build-dep" to install only architecture-
    dependent build dependencies. Bump minor shared lib number to reflect
    small change in BuildDepend API.
