The patch from Thomas looks good and I applied it to bzr now. You say
that its only partially working? Why partial? What is missing or not
(quite) working?

Actually I haven't tried the patch myself, but a colleague did. He said, this patch broke the logging of the error string, and this I meant by "partial working".
